[ Could mean something, could mean nothing. He's a traumatized kid in a strange city, and Ives doesn't seem like the worst adult figure he could latch on to. Kid's smart enough not to latch onto Constantine herself, for instance.

She taps her fingers on her teacup absently, quiet and thinking for a moment. It's tempting to nose around the topic of Ives more, since she's come up organically. Morpheus' answers at the gala had been pretty definitive, though, and Constantine doesn't have anything new to ask that wouldn't be better addressed to Ives herself. Or Chandler, maybe. And besides, she mainly came here to try and work out her next steps with regards to Peter. ]

[ suck it, Constantine. he tips his head slightly as he regards her though. ]

Though of how much you will heed any of my words remains to be seen.

[ he has yet to touch the tea she poured for him, but it doesn't look like he's leaving just yet. ]

[ The hesitation isn't snarky, or anything, it's just her considering the possibilities. ]

Seems like she knows a thing or two about people carrying around things that aren't themselves.

[ IF ONLY. he nods, not betraying the irony of that at all. ]

Perhaps so, though she may also be able to offer any further insight of the host, as well.

I hope so. [ A sigh. ] He seems like a nice kid. It's bad enough there's kids here in the first place without a demon making it worse.

[ he might be actually shrugging but the gesture is so subtle it's hard to tell. ]

Do you know anything else about this vampire thing? I know a few of them here, and I can't imagine any of them feeding on someone without consent. I know it can't have been one of them.

What else would there be to know?
